Max Factory
Founded in April 1987 by the renowned modeller Max Watanabe, Max Factory grew out of Japan's garage kit scene, where hand-cast resin kits were sculpted by hobbyists for hobbyists. That sculpt-first heritage still shapes everything the studio makes. Since 2001 Max Factory has worked in close partnership with Good Smile Company, sharing production, distribution and a Tokyo headquarters while keeping its own distinct identity.
