Last updated: February 2026

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before placing an order.

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of https://zerovariant.co.uk (the "Website") and your purchase of products from us. By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. About us

Zero Variant Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16960573 and operates as an online retailer specialising in collectibles, action figures, statues, and model kits.

3. Products & pricing

All products listed on the Website are subject to the following:

  • All prices are displayed in GBP
  • Product images are for illustrative purposes only; minor variations may occur
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing or product description errors before dispatch
  • Product availability is subject to stock levels

4. Ordering process

When you place an order through the Website:

  • Adding items to your cart does not reserve stock
  • A legally binding contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders prior to dispatch where products are unavailable, incorrectly priced, or where fraud is suspected

5. Payment

We offer a range of secure payment options:

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, and PayPal
  • Payment is taken at the time of order
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe and PayPal
  • We do not store your raw payment card details. For deposit preorders, with your consent at checkout, Stripe securely stores a tokenized reference to your payment method, allowing us to charge the remaining balance automatically when the item arrives in stock
  • By placing a deposit preorder, you authorise us to charge the remaining balance to your saved payment method upon stock arrival

6. Delivery

We aim to deliver your order as quickly as possible:

  • Free UK delivery is offered unless stated otherwise
  • All shipments are tracked and insured
  • Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed
  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address provided
  • Full delivery details are available on our Shipping & Returns page

7. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order on this Website. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

8. Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods. You may handle items to the extent necessary to inspect them as you would in a store, but we may make a deduction for any diminished value.

To cancel:

  • Contact us in writing (email is acceptable) within 14 calendar days of delivery to request a return authorisation
  • Do not send items back without return authorisation - unauthorised returns will not be processed
  • Return the goods within 14 calendar days of receiving authorisation
  • Items must be unopened, unused, and in their original sealed condition with all packaging, accessories, and protective materials intact
  • Return shipping is your responsibility unless the item is faulty
  • Refunds will be issued within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods

Condition of returns:

Our products are collectibles where packaging is considered an integral part of the product. If items or packaging show signs of opening, use, or damage beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods, we may make a deduction from your refund to reflect the diminished value.

Exclusions:

The right to cancel does not apply to personalised or custom-made items.

This section does not affect your statutory rights for faulty goods (see Section 9).

9. Faulty goods

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us with photographs of the issue as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate. We cover return shipping costs for faulty items.

Further details are available on our Shipping & Returns page.

10. Preorders

Preorders allow you to reserve items before their official release. By placing a preorder, you are requesting that we source and reserve stock specifically for your order.

  • Release dates are estimates and may change due to manufacturer schedules
  • Payment (deposit or full amount, depending on the product) is taken at the time of order
  • For deposit preorders, by placing your order you authorise us to charge the remaining balance to your saved payment method when the item arrives in stock. We will notify you by email when your preorder is ready and the balance has been charged
  • You may cancel a preorder at any time before release for a full refund of any payment taken. For deposit preorders, release is the point when the remaining balance is charged; for full-payment preorders, release is the point when we begin dispatch
  • Once an item has been dispatched, standard return conditions apply (see Section 8)
  • If a preorder item is cancelled by the manufacturer, discontinued, or cannot be supplied by us for any reason, you will receive a full refund using the original payment method
  • For deposit preorders, you are responsible for ensuring your saved payment method remains valid. If we are unable to charge the remaining balance (e.g. expired card, insufficient funds), we will notify you and allow 14 days to provide an alternative payment method. If payment is not received within this period, your preorder will be cancelled and we may retain an amount from your deposit that reasonably reflects costs incurred in sourcing your order, refunding any remainder

Shipping of preorders and backorders

UK Orders

Preorder and backorder items are dispatched individually as they become available.

International Orders (outside the UK)

Orders containing multiple preorder and/or backorder items are shipped together in a single shipment once all items are available.

If you require items to ship separately for international orders, please place separate orders.

We will notify you of any significant delays where reasonably possible.

11. Backorders

Backorders are items temporarily out of stock but expected to return.

  • Payment is taken at the time of order
  • Backordered items are dispatched once stock becomes available
  • Shipping rules for backorders follow the same regional logic as preorders:
    • UK orders ship as items become available
    • International orders ship in a single combined shipment once all items are available
  • You may cancel a backorder at any time before it ships for a full refund

12. Purchase limits & fair use

To ensure fair access to limited or high-demand items and to protect the integrity of our preorder system:

  • Quantity limits may apply, including limits on the number of active preorders per customer
  • Orders suspected to be placed for resale or speculative purposes may be cancelled
  • Multiple orders for limited items may be combined or cancelled at our discretion
  • We reserve the right to refuse future orders from customers who repeatedly cancel preorders or abuse our returns policy

13. Intellectual property

All content, images, trademarks, logos, and designs on the Website are owned by or licensed to Zero Variant Ltd. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • Our total liability is limited to the value of the order
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or your statutory rights

15. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supplier delays, manufacturing issues, transport disruption, strikes, or acts of God.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes apply to future orders only and will be posted on this page.

17. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a complaint, you may be entitled to use an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider.

We are not obliged to participate in ADR, but information about ADR and approved providers can be found at: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/alternative-dispute-resolution/
